The innovative pealiquitech™ technology uses a PEA solubilisation process that enables high-concentration cosmetic use in an active, bioavailable form. ALYVAL uses a proprietary patent based on pealiquitech™ technology for the use of PEA in topical formulations.

A team at the Vittore Buzzi Hospital in Milan conducted a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled gynaecological clinical study on 40 women who reported feelings of local discomfort in the intimate area. The aim was to evaluate the cosmetic efficacy of ALYVAL MED after 2 months of daily application.

The study showed that the use of ALYVAL MED was associated with a 45% reduction in perceived discomfort during common situations involving contact with the affected area (e.g. during intimate relations or when using hygiene products).

Current Perception Threshold (CPT) refers to the minimum intensity of an electrical stimulus required for nerve fiber perception, including vestibular nerve fibres. Stimuli are delivered at three frequencies (2000 Hz, 250 Hz, 5 Hz) with a gradual increase in intensity until the minimum perception threshold is reached. In the ALYVAL MED-treated group, an approximately 19% increase in the pain threshold was observed compared to the placebo-treated control group; this data suggests a reduction in nerve sensitisation, one of the primary symptoms of this pathology. These are preliminary results that indicate even greater improvement at the conclusion of the study.
